San Diego Map & Guide to Black Hair Salons
The San Diego Map & Guide to Black Hair Salons Project stemmed from conversations with black women in the Greater San Diego Community about the difficulties in finding hair salons that catered to their hair types and needs.
The printed brochure maps a select number of black hair salons in San Diego and highlights the best in their respective categories.
The Black Salons App is a prototype that brings the idea into the digital space. Users would have the capability to not only find salons in their area, but the convenience of setting up appointments, rating and communicating with their stylist, and paying through the app.
